<p>After a slight improvement in the Covid-19 spread, Maharashtra has once reported rising cases of Covid-19 in various areas. Taking a note of the development, Thane Municipal Corporation has announced to imposes lockdown in COVID hotspot areas from March 13 to March 31, 2021. On the whole, Maharashtra on Monday witnessed a dip as 8,744 new infections came to light. The caseload in the state rose to 22,28,471. Maharashtra reported 22 fatalities pushing the death toll to 52,500 while as many as 9,068 persons were discharged from hospitals, taking the total of recoveries to 20,77,112.</p>
