<p><strong>Welcome to the ABP News LIVE for Tuesday, March 8, 2021: </strong>The death toll in the massive fire that broke out on the 13th floor of a multi-storey building at Strand Road in Kolkata, West Bengal, on Monday evening, mounted to 9 on Tuesday morning. PM Narendra Modi expressed condolences and approved an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakhs each from Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the tragic fire in Kolkata. Rs 50,000 would be given to those seriously injured. </p> <p>Thane Municipal Corporation has announced to imposes lockdown in COVID hotspot areas from March 13 to March 31, 2021. So far, 16 areas have been identified as hotspots in Thane. According to the reports, Municipal Commissioner Dr Vipin Sharma issued the Lockdown orders stating that decision was taken due to rise in COVID-19 cases in these areas in the past few days.</p> <p>Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is expected to present the seventh budget in the assembly on Tuesday morning. The budget for 2021-22 is likely to have a special allocation for free COVID-19 vaccination at Delhi government hospitals. The budget is also likely to have proposals to open ‘Sainik Schools’ in Delhi and promote yoga at a widescale in the city </p>
