The Union Health Ministry in its regular health update on Wednesday stated that India's total tally of COVID-19 cases jumped to 1,10,30,176 with 13,742 new infections, while the recoveries have surged to 1,07,26,702. Taking note of the development, several state administrations have swung into action enforcing strict Covid-19 preevntive guidelines. Travellers from Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab will need a negative coronavirus test report to enter Delhi from 26th February till 15th March. </p> <p>The Election Commission of India (ECI) will hold a meeting today in the national capital to finalise the schedule for Assembly elections scheduled in five states and Union Territory (UT). Elections to select the legislative assembly for states including West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. </p> <p>The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) West Bengal state committee member Rakesh Singh has been arrested in connection with the Pamela Goswami drugs case.
